Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) is a talking therapy that can help you manage your problems by changing the way you think and behave, hence the cognitive (thinking) and behavioural (doing).
CBT Psychotherapy is a short term intensive therapy that deals with the issues here and now and there is active participation from both client and therapist to help manage the difficulties. CBT is a high researched and evidence based Psychotherapy that is most commonly used to treat anxiety and depression disorders as follows:
